Erfurt is known as a green city in the heart of Germany. This beautiful city has a population of almost two-hundred-thousand. A medieval city, with many historical houses and churches.
There are many beautiful bridges, but one, the Kramerbruecke ( Merchant's Bridge 1325 ), is perhaps the most interesting one.

This bridge is the longest in Europe which is covered completely on both sides by 32 houses.
Erfurt, has had many well-known residents and visitors, such as Martin Luther who lived here as a monk from 1505-1511. |
